Holy fuck, New Zealand just knows how to do it right!
FORCED STARVATION are a new band from members of STRESS GHETTO, PIGGERY (and a bunch more) playing mean as hell 90s-rooted grindcore with subtle hints of fastcore and brutal death, and they tore the joint to bits in Melbourne recently. To my ears they bring to mind parts of DISMEMBERED FETUS, EXCRUCIATING TERROR, the best moments of INFEST and classic Aussie grind. Absolutely punishing stuff that really, anyone into grind should dig. I caught two of their shows here and I wish I could have made it all three - here's their Old Bar show below! They don't have any releases out yet and so I'm eagerly awaiting whatever's coming...WATCH:
