- I'm doing well, man! Thanks for asking! Stoked on answering these WRETCHED questions!!! What's up? Oh, not a whole lot....just losing my mind over these new Contaminated tracks!!!! DE PUTA MADRE!!!!!!
*Alright, so how did Radiation Vomit form? Did you all know each other already? Was it a case of "fuck yeah let's do a Repulsion band 'cause Repulsion's sick"?
- Haha! My old band (on a hiatus of sorts at the moment), Malpractice Insurance got some show offers in the Midwest in 2013 and I simply asked Andy (Nak'ay) if he'd be interested in playing drums for me! He agreed and we had a blast! We decided we should work together on something else in the future. When Malpractice wasn't busy, I sent Andy some riffs and he sent back what you hear on the demo! I was actually in Vegas at a relatives house when I opened the files and couldn't contain myself when I heard those pummeling blast beats! Absolutely flawless and INTENSE as hell!
*That Demo 2014 was an absolute rager and as far as I can tell, has gone down very well with grinders worldwide. Is it gonna appear as a 7" sometime?
- I'm glad you enjoy, dude! As mentioned before, I was absolutely floored when I heard the drums and couldn't wait to record the rest of the tracks! As for a 7", there are no plans or offers to rerelease it.
*I heard some rumblings of new material coming soon - can you tell me anything about that?
- Some time ago we added Jacob (Garbage Guts/Roskopp) to the line up and we recorded roughly 12 new tracks! There's a whole lot of blasting and, thanks to Jacob, has some more variety on vocals and KILLER bass tone! There's a few rerecorded tracks from the demo, some more horror tracks, and blasts, blasts, blasts!!! Just have to go back to the studio and finish them up a bit. Can't wait til you hear 'em.....PHANTASMIASMC ULCERED CURRRRRSE!!!!!!!!!!!
Which other projects are you dudes involved in right now?
- Andy is in every band ever. His most active being the mighty Archagathus and the ball-rupturing Nak'ay! Jacob and I have Yesterday which will hopefully record a demo very soon! He's playing drums on that, and let me tell you...I've never seen anyone hit the drums as hard as he does!!!! PISS N' VINEGAR! Look out for that HOPEFULLY early next year!!
*I saw some rad footage of R.V. playing at Fuck Your Life Fest in May this year. That looked like a fucking mad (and proper stacked) night! I wish I was there... any dumb stories from that to share?
- Ahhh!! Well, I got to meet the Of Corpse guys in person (killer dudes, RIDICULOUSLY KILLER band) and got to watch some of the sickest bands around! It was Andy's first gig with Archagathus as well! Unfortunately, Jacob and I were pretty wiped out by the end of our set and didn't participate in shenanigans....However, it was awesome to have Archagathus and Skunk at our rehearsal studio all week and watching them rage (and drink) every day before the shows. They are some of the best dudes ever and are absolutely DEVASTATING when they play live!! Unreal! Oh!!! One funny story...I took all those dudes to Venice beach and the poor Canadians were NOT prepared for the California overcast! Poor dudes were COMPLETELY red all over!!!! SEARED mince blastards!!
*Who are some of favourite newer grind bands? The US in particular has a shit-tonne of great grind/gore going on right now.
- Spain just spewed forth Convulsions and it's a ripper!!!! You'll be hooked as soon as you listen, dude! There's also Cannibal Ferox who we are doing a split with next year! Killer dudes and absolutely reek! Bodybag (PROPER ONE FOOT CHUFFED CHAOS UK RHINOCHARGE) , Of Corpse (4 way split with these dudes and Cadaveric Incubator early next year), Deboned, Cop Date (EVERYTHING IS COOUUUUURRRRGGGHHHHPPSSSS!!!!!!!!!), Pancreatic Purulence, Skunk, anything Zev does, Acid Feast, Pulsating Cerebral Slime, anything Joe (Violent Gorge) is a part of, and the almighty EXTREMELY BRUTAL featuring Hagamoto and Dan Archx! VOMI NOIR VOMI NOIR VOMI NOIR featuring the gangrenous ghoul himself Pierre Braindead!!!! Girth, who we've done shows with, are sooo good live!!! Austin is a madman behind the drums!!! ARRRGH!!!!! Ol' Fiend just released a split 7" with our good friends Recalcitrant. There are many bands, but these few are definitely stuff I have been listening to constantly...especially Cop Date....cop date, yeah!
*Any tours lined up?
- Given the distance and work schedules, it's very difficult to organize anything with Radiation Vomit, unfortunately...however, I remain optimistic! Yesterday will probably do a west coast tour next year. Andy and all his bands will tour constantly til the end of time!!!
*You also recently started Morgue Ritual Records. That Bodybag/Modorra split 12" was fucking savage! What prompted you to start a label?
- UGGGHHH!!!! Still can't believe I released that thing!! So insanely killer!!!! Both sides are MAD!!! Anyway, most of the band stuff I've ever done has been self-released, so I figured I'd put a name behind it. Was also organizing a Machetazo tribute LP (which I still hope to do one day) and the Deboned dudes asked for me to help 'em release their 7"s. So, it all just kind of worked itself out! It's not insanely active, but very fun to run and communicate with other maniacs!
*What's upcoming on Morgue Ritual?
- Headless Death LP!!!! Vomi Noir 7" Also, plan on releasing a Garbage Guts live THING. Maybe a 10"?!!?!
